One Book | One Minnesota is a new statewide book club that invites Minnesotans to read a common title, by a Minnesota author or authors, and come together to reflect and discuss.

The inaugural (the project’s “First Chapter”) title Because of Winn-Dixie, by award-winning Minnesota children’s book author Kate DiCamillo, was launched in the spring of 2020 in response to the isolation and resource gaps created by COVID-19. The Second Chapter title for the program, launched in July, was A Good Time for the Truth: Race in Minnesota, edited by Sun Yung Shin and published in 2016 by the Minnesota Historical Society Press. The Third Chapter title, just announced, is The Plague of Doves, by Louise Erdrich.
